The Banshee

Take flight, stay bright through the terror of night
I'm alone and I'm cold but she's there by my side.
To lead me into the darker times once more.
But she's cute and she's sweet and she promises gold
And then she howls and she keens and she swallows my soul.
I'd follow her to hell, to make her my wife
The bringer of confidence, the taker of lives.
And try as I might to move right past,
she pulls me back and concludes harassing my soul.
The Banshee roams.
It's hard to believe true love isn't dead
When I hear her screaming at the foot of my bed.
And I leap right out and I head straight for that door.
Oh why can't she see, what she's taken from me?
Love me again babe? Best 2 out of 3?
How crazy love is to say the least,
Until this demon gets her way with her prey and she feasts.
She cuts through the night, needs no introduction
Bound to her life of self destruction. She roams
The Banshee roams.
Spent years of my life trying to win a rigged fight
when she won't let me go cos I'm her sacrifice.
Now she can call me back but she won't get very far.
Oh back away, back away, or i'll finish you off
You death chant on deaf ears because I'm already gone.
Lead me on lead me on like i'm your show and tell
But lay your lips upon me baby, I'll blast you to hell.
You can scream and cackle, keep singing your song
Because this nightmares over and your singing alone. She's gone.
The Banshee's gone!

Born in old Missouri, to a sleepy little town.
Orphaned with his sister 'til an Uncle brought them round
A cowboy he became to shoot some buffalo down,
But they'll be at the death of Henry Newton Brown.
Entangled in a cattle war he joined with Bill The Kid.
Ending up in Kansas with a star upon his head.
A Marshall he became, to shoot those vermin down.
But they'll be at the death of Henry Newton Brown.
Now Henry, appointed Ben Wheeler,
To be the deputy, right by his side.
And they, did such a good job,
That the townsfolk, filled with pride.
Then one, one eerie night,
They planned, to rob the bank.
But they, they were captured,
And this is what the townsfolk sang.......
That cold, damp and bloodstained night we dragged them from their cell.
When Brown he tried to make a break we gunned him straight to hell.
An outlaw he became, until we cut him down.
(and) We were at the death of Henry Newton Brown.

Losing My Mind
04:04

Stuck in this dark and dismal place,
Where it always fuckin' rains.
There's no hope and I ain't joking,
Don't approach, just ride away.
In these fair uneasy days,
Say your prayers and dream away.
My woman's like my money 'cause she hasn't been seen for days.
Do you remember how it feels,
When your love no doubt is real?
It ain't easy, up and leave me,
You deceive me with your spiel.
The next day you're back around,
I don't know when to laugh or frown.
My woman's like my money 'cause shes always blown in town.
But there's a voice inside your brain that's telling you to be kind,
And another voice that sets it all straight.
It all mounts up and feels like i'm losing my mind,
And its gone...
I can't take this anymore,
The man just takes and then wants more.
It isn't fair he makes me wary,
Would see me broke scared on the floor.
Can't pay for my meals and bills,
And I need more weed to chill.
I swear sometimes it feels like i'm useless and blind.
But there's a voice inside your brain that's telling you to be kind,
And another voice that sets it all straight.
It all mounts up and feels like i'm losing my mind,
And its gone...
Losing my mind
Losing my mind
Losing my mind
But if you'll leave and let me be,
In the trees that set me free.
No more bitchin, I ain't listening,
To your screams of misery.
See I've had it up to here,
So i'll just grab another beer.
And continue to smoke and drink away the issues of life.
But there's a voice inside your brain that's telling you to be kind,
And another voice that sets it all straight.
It all mounts up and feels like i'm losing my mind,
And its gone...

The Pusher

Is there a man in town,
Really pushing people in the canal?
Is it so?
Though the theory's quite grim,
Is it not just drunk folk taking a swim,
On their own?
You can't run, you can't hide,
Once he knows you're on his canal side.
He won't miss, he won't fail,
Once he sees you on his canal trail.
Oh he'll show,
Then you'll know.
Yes he's real and The Pusher's coming out tonight!
If I may be so bold,
A 2am canal walk's pretty cold.
What's wrong with the road?
Even so it's harsh,
To turn man into barge.
But that don't mean it ain't so.
You can't run, you can't hide,
Once he knows you're on his canal side.
He won't miss, he won't fail,
Once he sees you on his canal trail.
Oh he'll show,
Then you'll know.
Yes he's real and The Pusher's coming out tonight!
The 99 Degree oh you taunted me!
Now how's that working for you? Oh well let me see.
In the aftermath, down on my towpath,
Listen to The Pusher laugh!
